The Institute of Languages is the language training service of the Catholic University of Valencia San Vicente Mártir. It was established in 2010 with the clear aim of offering society the key to achieving better employability by providing language training with high standards of quality, expertise, personalised attention, rigour, specialisation, and approachability.
Since its inception, the Institute of Languages has been a Cambridge English preparation centre, and since September 2018, we have been a member of the British Council’s Addvantage programme. This membership allows us to host British Council examinations on our premises and facilitates the registration process for our students.
As of 1 February 2019, the Institute of Languages of the UCV has been an accredited centre of the Instituto Cervantes. This international accreditation, aimed at public and private centres offering Spanish language teaching services, recognises us as an accredited centre of the Instituto Cervantes after successfully passing an evaluation covering the following areas of activity: academic activity and teaching staff, facilities and equipment, administrative organisation, and information and advertising.
The Institute of Languages of the UCV offers a wide range of training options, enabling our students to enhance their academic and professional development through courses in English, Valencian, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
